There are now two ways to contact me (none is my direct e-mail address):
I no longer posting my direct e-mail address on my website, because the amount of spam I receive on a daily basis has forced me to abandon two domains because of the volume of spam.

Scroll down for a more details.

The Spammers Win. Update: March 20, 2004

Anyone who tells you spam is not a problem, doesn't post their e-mail address on a web site, and doesn't post messages in newsgroups.

It now only takes two days from the time I post a clickable e-mail address on my web site, until the time I receive my first spam.

The Spammers Win. Update: March 18, 2004

I am in the process of testing 1and1.com web hosting. They have a lot of nice features, including mail forwarding. So at this point, I have created some e-mail address that should forward the message to my real addresses. I have done some testing, and they seem to work.

February 19, 2005, I am tired of the amount of virus and spam messages that I am receiving though my mail forwarder. I have turned it off, and now will let my online spam account deal with it.

The Spammers Win. Update: August 23, 2003

On May 15, 2003 I set up a throwaway e-mail account with Yahoo and posted it on this web site. I just logged into my Yahoo account today (August 23, 2003) and was stunned by the amount of spam in my inbox and bulk mail folder.

As expected, I am getting the usual bogus drug offers, body part enhancements and Nigerian Money Laundering schemes. In addition, some one (or ones) got infected with the W32.Sobig.F@mm virus, so I just received about 30 messages with the virus attached, some were addressed to me, some were bounces from other systems that thought I was the sender.

And the plot sickens. :-(

The Spammers Win. Update: April 19, 2003

electronic mail address: In an effort to avoid spam I am no longer posting my email address on my web site.

Anyone wishing to contact me by mail, will need to figure out my mail address.
My domain is "eqcity period net".
My name is listed below.
Use a period between the first and last name.
You know where it is "at".

Chrome Oxide
P.O.Box 8106
Mission Hills, CA 91346-8106

If for some reason you prefer to click a link rather than type in an address, then you can click here to send to a throw-away address. If you do prefer a clickable link, could you let me know why? Also, in your message, can you be specific about which band you are asking about? This is a large site, and growing larger. And now that I no longer have seperate e-mail addresses for each band, it is more difficult for me to know which band you are asking about.

Please be aware, I check my regular e-mail daily (although sometimes it takes a day or two for me to find the time to respond). I will only check this account once per week at best.

Do NOT save this throw-away address to your address book. I will abandon it after the spam reaches a level that I don't want to deal with it. Which will be long before it reaches the 20+ spam messages per hour that my old e-mail address was receiving.

The Spammers Win. Update: April 11, 2003

I am now officially abandoning my e-mail address of the last seven years.

I had been using the same e-mail address/sub-domain from February 1997 until March 2003. When I first set up my web site, I thought it would be helpful to visitors to my web site to have a clickable e-mail address. Unfortunately, it was even more helpful to the spammer robots/harvesters than legitimate visitors. Before switching to a new ISP and new domain in April 2003, I was receiving twenty plus spam messages per hour. Even though I have a spam filter, it is not perfect, and I still need to review the log files. Reviewing the log files (spammer address and subject line) got to be a very time consuming (and depressing) job. I am also tired of paying for an account that the spammers use more than I do.
