July 18, 2005. I just noticed that the ezBoard message board that I had set up for this web site had been deleted. Since restoration of the deleted conference is only available to subscribers to their service, and since the activity was relatively light, I not planning on looking for another message board. If you do think a message board is worth while, or you have a message board that you like, let me know and I may promote it here. As always you can contact me here.
February 26, 2005. While I am no longer actively updating this page, I finally came up with another good excuse to update this page. I was asked by the International Surfing Museum in Huntington Beach to help them contact surf bands for the free shows they will be putting on for the 2005 season. I was able to help out, so I will also be listing the shows for this season as I become aware of them.
The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum is open daily with summer hours from 12 noon to 5 Pm on weekdays and 9 to 5 on weekends. Admission is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for students and children under 6 are free.

Foreign Object is a band of masked punk rock villains that perform superior rock n roll while lead singer / wrestler Anarchy wrestles opponents on-stage and in the ring (as seen at Lollapalooza 1995 and San Francisco's Incredibly Strange Wrestling). June 19, 2008 I just realized that since I have been trying to keep track of shows that I am planning on going to, I might as well update this page. Therefore, I will be listing all the Southern California surf / instro shows that I am aware of, and that I might possibly attend.
I also get hired to tape non-surf bands. I have not decided on a final format for listings of these other performances that are not surf related. But I will probably be making some kind of notation here.
For a while I had stopped updating this page, as all the bands that I am hosting and / or maintaining web sites, have their own upcoming show page. However, ...

Since I was able to help out the
Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum (HBISM)
in Huntington Beach contact bands for their 2005 season of free shows, I
decided to list those shows on this page.
The intent of this Calendar page, is to have a small fast loading page, with the listing of upcoming live shows for bands whos' web pages are hosted here. I will still be listing ALL live shows on the individual bands pages. However, some of the individual pages (Insect Surfers) are starting to get a bit large. This Calendar page will allow for people who are only looking for live show information to get in and out of this site a little quicker.
When I was hosting web sites for 1 or 2 bands, it was easy enough to post upcoming shows on the band page as well as this page. Also, some of band pages were fairly slow loading. So it made sense to have this page.
As of May 2004 I am hosting web sites for 5 bands. I am also doing management of web sites for a few additional bands. All the bands that I am hosting, are having their sites redesigned, so that each has their own faster loading upcoming show listing. So it makes less sense for me to list all the band shows here.
Therefore, if you are looking for upcoming shows for any band that I host,
