COMMERCIAL RELEASE Reverb Junkies
Surf / Instrumental
Back in the early 1960s, Dick Dale pioneered a style of instrumental music that was mid-eastern influenced, and used reverb on the guitar. You have probably heard Dick Dale's music, even if you don't recognize the name. His music was used for the Phillips Flat Screen TV commercial, Domino's Pizza, ... His music was used as the opening track in the Pulp Fiction movie.
Reverb Junkies
As seems usual for me, I was out recording the audio at various shows. A few years ago, another video production company had started a documentary on modern surf music. It turns out that at few of shows where they had video they wanted to use, they were having problems with the audio. They remembered seeing me at the shows and requested my audio for three performances. Always glad to help out, I provided them with the recordings that allowed them to use the video they wanted to.
This recording was made with my digital audio recorder, the Fostex FR-2 Field Recorder. This is a 2 channel deck. I continued to use my Audio-Technica AT801 microphones on stage. Myself and my microphones can be spotted in the trailer as well as the full feature film.
