COMMERCIAL RELEASE Insect Surfers - Mojave Reef
Surf / Instrumental
Back in the early 1960s, Dick Dale pioneered a style of instrumental music that was mid-eastern influenced, and used reverb on the guitar. You have probably heard Dick Dale's music, even if you don't recognize the name. His music was used for the Phillips Flat Screen TV commercial, Domino's Pizza, ... His music was used as the opening track in the Pulp Fiction movie.
Insect Surfers - Mojave Reef
The one track that I supplied for this otherwise studio recording, was recorded live at a local club in Los Angeles, California. I am the web master for the Insect Surfers, as well as their resident audio archivist (I record all their shows). This live track was pulled from one of the many live show recordings I have done for the band over the years.
This recording was done with my trusty Sony TC-D5M and a pair of Audio-Technica AT801 microphones on stage.
